Green lentils

Lentils is one of the oldest cultivated plants. It is characterised by that it:

+ is low in fat and has a good amount of fibre,

+ contains grains full of protein,

+ has a low glycaemic index; therefore it is recommended for people who must closely control sugar in blood.

Our piece of advice:

Rinse lentils, put it into the pot, pour it with cold water, cover and bring to boil. Then reduce the gas. From time to time check if the amount of water is sufficient. At the end of cooking, add a bit of salt and cook on with the lid off until water boils out completely.
